§ 04 · FAQ
Boga Club is a founder community built around community funded grants. Members pay a monthly membership that feeds a shared, non-profit grant pool; founders pitch their ideas; and every grant cycle the members vote on which pitch gets funded. It’s alternative startup funding where the community — not investors — decides what gets built.
Three moves, in order. Join: your membership feeds the grant pool and gives you a vote. Pitch: founders post a short pitch describing what they want to build. Vote: every cycle, members vote and the community’s favorite pitch receives a milestone-based grant from the pool. The pool keeps growing month over month, so each cycle funds the next idea.
Startup grants are one of the few ways to fund a startup idea without raising from investors. On Boga, you don’t pitch a VC or an angel — you pitch a community of members who fund a shared grant pool and vote on where it goes. If the community picks your pitch, you receive non-dilutive funding paid out against milestones, with no fundraising round and no cap table changes.
A community funded grant is money pooled by many individual members and awarded by their collective vote, rather than by a foundation, a bank or a venture fund. On Boga, most of every membership dollar goes into a non-profit grant pool, and members choose each cycle’s winner. The funders and the decision-makers are the same people — no gatekeepers and no closed-door committee.
Look for non-dilutive funding: grants, competitions and community programs that give you capital without taking a stake in your company. Boga is built for exactly this. Leave your email and add your pitch now; when doors open, your pitch goes on the ballot, and if members vote for it you receive startup grants without equity — funding for your idea while you keep 100% of your company.
No. Boga awards grants, not investments. Founders don’t sell shares, issue SAFEs or convertible notes, or give up any ownership or control. Members fund ideas because they want to see them exist, not to buy a piece of them.
No. A grant from Boga is not a loan: there is no repayment, no interest and no revenue share. What we do ask is progress — grant funding is released in milestones, each one reviewed and approved before the next payment, so the pool backs founders who are building.
Anyone with an idea worth funding can pitch — a startup, a product, a community project, a small business. You don’t need a finished product, a company, a pitch deck or traction. A few sentences describing what you want to build and why it matters is enough to join the queue today, and you can flesh it out when doors open.
By member vote. Each grant cycle, the top pitches are placed on a ballot and every member casts one vote — one member, one vote. The pitch with the most votes wins the cycle and receives a grant from the pool, paid out as its milestones are met. There are no gatekeepers, no black boxes and no committee overriding the community.
We’re building Boga now. Leave your email on this page and we’ll send occasional build updates and tell you the moment doors open — build updates only, no spam. If you already have a pitch, add it now and it’s in the queue ahead of launch, no account, deck or video needed.
